Soiva tila | Resonating Space

Soiva tila | Resonating Space was an exploration of sound and material. I composed the piece for a clarinetist, a recorder player, a cellist-singer, a percussionist, a dancer, and a ceramic installation. The installation and three concerts were part of Tampere Biennale 2022. The installation was made by sculpturer Mari Paikkari and it was played like an instrument by the dancer in concerts.

The video is shot during rehearsals for the concert on 9th April 2022. In the video, you can see some parts of the work. The players are situated in the corners, so the audience heard music around them. The overall duration was 35 minutes.
